Tarboro is Talking - Community Discussion > Did I click my heels and land in Oz
Hi Kenneth,
Nope, not Oz, just good ol' Tarboro.
At the last town council meeting when they reached the "closed doors" session of the meeting to discuss "personnel issues" I should've hung around. Not that I could have done anything about it, but at least they would've seen my face watching them after the fact.
I've posted a blog entry that might interest you..

Time for a change folks. Wilson, Greenville and Rocky Mount are MUCH LARGER cities than Tarboro. Where do these jokers get that they are worth this?
"Jenkins, who made the motion for the latest raise that was seconded by Councilman Steve Hoard, noted the council members no longer make "fancy trips" and must pay for their spouse's expenses when they go along on a trip like the ElectriCities's annual meeting coming up Aug. 8-11 in Myrtle Beach."
Well, well, well. So no more "fancy trips" huh. Like Washington, DC, California, Reno with all the boondoggles. Raise those electric rates and hit the beach guys. Hey, it's on us!
Whoever is running, count on my support.
This old boy crowd is really into it now. And I am a secure enough man to say that.
"Council gave Noble, the town manager, a 5 percent bonus ($5,637) and 2.5 percent raise to boost his annual salary to $112,000."
Yeah yeah. He helped ElectriCities screw us all buy by gosh give him a raise. We can add it to the $12000 he makes on the board at electricities.
Where am I again?
And how is this for timing, Pay more on rates and we deserve a raise.
And read this, it made my BP go up. I need a paramedic.
