Co-operative Calendar needs HELP!

I could use a little help keeping the online community calendar up to date.help-wanted.jpg

As far as I can tell there is not ONE location where all local activities and events are listed and I'm trying to create that ONE location . . . but I need some help.  I've been a bit busy lately with the 2nd Saturdays "stuff" and haven't been able to keep up with the calendar.

Anyone and everyone can post events on this website's calendar. I have created it in an interactive manner so you don't need me to add events, you can do it yourselves.  Just pick the date, click on it and add the event.  If you know a little HTML you can get fancy and add pictures and such, but it's not necessary.

Here are places to find local events to add:

The Daily Southerner Events column

The Edgecombe County Memorial Library Youth Calendar

The Edgecombe Performance Series at the Community College

The Edgecombe Arts Calendar

The Chamber of Commerce Calendar

If you know of other events that have not been included or other sources of local events, feel free to add them.

I believe that networking is of utmost importance to community organizing AND to community success.  If we can get a single source for sharing information, there will no longer be situations where the people are uninformed.

This website is the first step in networking the people of Tarboro.  A community newspaper will be the next step and plans for that are already in the making.
