A Lesson in Symbiosis

SymbiosisSymbiosis: (noun) A relationship of mutual benefit.

A few days ago in an attempt to help the new Spanish restaurant in town, I put their menu on a web page on this web site. www.gotarboro.com/la-familia
Today I did the same thing for the new owners of the Clubhouse Grill 1 on Saint Andrew St. www.gotarboro.com/clubhouse
I picked up a menu from Myrick's Homestyle Barbecue and tomorrow or the next day, I'll get that menu online, too.  Eventually, I'd like to have an online menu for every restaurant in Tarboro.

This is a perfect example of a symbiotic relationship.  I help the business by making their menu more easily accessible and perhaps attracting new customers to their restaurant. They in turn help me promote this website.  Every time they tell someone about their online menu, or every time someone finds it through an online search, one more person is introduced to the Grassroots of Tarboro and what we are trying to do.

I think it is an excellent example of how we can work together with local businesses and create a win-win situation for everyone involved. What else can we do to help businesses succeed in Tarboro?  What can YOU do?

Send or bring me menus from the restaurants on our What's Cookin' In Tarboro - Restaurants Page and I will create an online menu for them. Thanks!
